An independent techno hub in Brazil
Who is Technolab?
Founded in 2020 in São Paulo, Technolab is an independent, non-profit studio dedicated to promoting underground techno and electronic music. Since 2022, when the weekly program began, more than 250 artists have played here, from emerging names to international references such as Acerbic (DJ Ant), Amulador, Chris Liberator, Darc Marc, Dave the Drummer, Jezebelle, Juliana Yamasaki, KAPP, Kid Riot, M.I.T.A., Malke, Michel Lauriola, Patrick DSP, Shandy, SLDRP and Tao Andra.
More than a studio, Technolab is a meeting point for the techno community in Brazil. Many Brazilian artists had their first contact with professional gear here and now play around the world. A space of resistance, built independently, to give visibility to the people who make the scene happen.
Programs
Technolab Experiments: the studio's main series, with artists invited by Technolab's curators, bringing together new talent and established names from the scene.
Takeovers: once or twice a month, invited collectives take over the studio and present their artists, showing the diversity of techno made in Brazil.
Rawtech Nation: monthly residency of the label run by Bllack Rose and Betriza, every last Wednesday of the month, with guests of their choice.
Lab Stay Up: a program dedicated to acid techno, hosted by Tiago Santos, with special editions throughout the year.
